Williams, Spence Hop Aboard Hillary’s Bus

Maggie Williams, former chief of staff to then-First Lady Hillary Clinton, has agreed to join Hillary’s presidential campaign as an unpaid day-to-day adviser, as will famous Democratic ad man Roy Spence, an on-again-off-again Hillary adviser for months.

The decision to bring Williams and Spence into Hillary’s tight inner circle was driven by former President Clinton and other voices in the Hillary campaign clamoring for a shakeup to reverse her defeat in Iowa and an expected defeat tonight in New Hampshire.

Others are likely to join Hillary’s campaign on a volunteer basis and team Hillary is putting the full-court press, if you will, on Bill Clinton’s former White House political director Doug Sosnick, who now works for the NBA.

It’s just like Dick Morris observed; when we look at the Clinton campaign we see a picture of 1992 redux. In contrast, Senator Obama presents a picture of youth, energy, and charisma. It’s youth vs. age. We will once again see what the Clintons are really made of as they make their way down the campaign trail.

Unpaid advisor? Is this treated as an in-kind contribution to the Clinton campaign?

What was not verbalized last night by the pundits was the fact that racism IS alive and well in the US. – When the people of NH saw all of the hoopla about Barrack Obama in the days after his Iowa win, people who probably had not planned to vote got their butts to the polls because they are NOT ready for a black president. – It is a SHAME but this is what happened.

We tend to paint people in easy catch phrases, this should be avoided. With that in mind, she is a CLINTON, the tears may fool some of the people some of the time, but she is a CLINTON, granted pro tax policy and Kensian economics may sound silly, but she is a CLINTON, without refrenceing the current edition of foriegn affairs, she is a clinton.

It may be unfair, even unjust, in politics? Shocked I tell you. But nationally, and more importantly internationally, she will be viewed through glasses that are not clear of distortions, simply because, … well you know.

Pre-911 campaign, pre-911 administration, pre-911 mentality. Just what Osama wants in a “changed” America..

Major Garrett, I just read this post on Huffington Post, where Paul Begala himself documents the emails of him trying to get you to pull down a false story about him. Not very pretty:

Title: “Fox News: We Report What We Want To Believe”
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-begala/fox-news-we-report-e_b_80698.html

Don’t you owe a public apology to your readers, to Paul Begala, and to those in the media who actually checked for the story’s truthfulness before going with it?????

I note you haven’t added any posts about the Clinton campaign here since this entire flustercluck was exposed. Have you been fired, I hope? This kind of “journalism” gives journalists a really bad name.

Where’s the retraction for the lies you printed yesterday?

Private,

Ummm, where’s James Carville and Paul Begala?

Did you report that Carville and Begala will join the team?

And that Mrs. Clinton, for whom I will not vote, was going to get beaten – and beaten badly – in New Hampshire?

Private, if you’re going to do hard-hitting journalism, would it be too much to ask for you to do it correctly?

Or does Roger Ailes still not care much about accuracy?

Hillary’s 11th hour win no surprise!
No “emotional breakdown” mystery!

It’s simple… The women voters had to work all day, get the kids at day care, fight traffic home, make dinner, do the dishes, tackle homework, get kids settled, get things ready for the next day… then go vote. Yep they were tired but they need “CHANGE”
Dual incomes used to be a liberating choice now it’s a necessity. How sad.

I don’t know why the press buys the argument that Hillary has experience. She cites thirty five years, but has only held a job in government for seven years. That’s a five-fold difference. As First Lady of Arkansas, she worked on education and by the time her and Bill left office Arkansas was proudly 49th in the country. No offense to the good people of Arkansas, only to the outrageous claims of your former First Lady. Northern Ireland? She brought peace there? Funny, her memoirs’ only mention of Northern Ireland is when she received a teapot. Her time on the board of directors at Wal-Mart? Hardly ever reported on. Her records at the Clinton library? Barack Obama has worked in government for eleven years, first in the Illinois Senate and then in the U.S. senate. That’s four years more than Hillary, but for some reason he is “inexperienced.”

When Hillary commented “by listening to you I found my own voice” my first thought was “Well, whose voice have you been using your last 35 years of change” She made women everywhere look bad with that Gail Sheehy crap.

Begala appeared on the Today show this morning and Matt Lauer asked him straight out if he was joining the Clinton campaign.
Begala said “No”.

Pray, tell us, Garrett, why you couldn’t have done the same thing?

The smell of your journalistic ethics indicates exactly where you pulled the Begala story from. Shame on you!

is this as false as your other stories?

Just more of the “Clinton Old Guard” jumping on the band wagon so they will be in position for another job if she gets elected. Same old names, doing the same old things, for the same old reasons….
So if these are the people with the answers and the talent to turn things around, why did’nt they do it the first time?

I watched most of the Democratic debate in New Hampshire last Saturday and thought Bill Richardson came to Hilary Clinton’s defense on numerous occasions when she was under criticism from both Barack Obama and John Edwards. It occured to me that Bill Richardson really had no reason to still be in the race and I began wondering whether the Clinton camp had promised him the V.P. slot if he stuck around for one more week. I have just learned that Bill Clinton had discussions with Bill Richardson before he announced his withdrawl from the race just prior to the Nevada primary where there are numerous Hisspanic voters. I again wonder what promises Bill Clinton has made to Richardson. The pathetic truth is the Clintons will never fulfill the VP promise if she wins the nomination.

Ron Paul -

I hope his rather good fox coverage shows how far this mans foresight really is, and that he vision for a libertarian non interventionist America is brilliant.

Is America ready to commit to iraq and afghanistan for the next 100 years? Why are republicans being fooled by this nonsence – this administration is asking you to place this war as a burden on the next generation. A war that didnt need to happen, bush could have just blown up to tora bora mountains – but moved troops away from Afghanistan to fight a war in Iraq? I am sorry, but who attacked america? It really does show the monumental farce of the iraq war, an the cost to america has been dear. For the argument for removing saddam – there is the counter argument in why Bush is now ready to engage with north korea? Who have actually developed the weapon and are now being rewarded by the US – I see far reaching ramifications in the future for Bush and Cheney when the Americans wake up and see how much damage these people have done. 10 years of REPUBLICAN government – i dont think i have ever seen such a bloated, massive administration. Ron Paul is a real republican with a strong appeal to democrats. If HIS message of change got out.

They are at it again with Iran people, for goodness sake – get rid of these war mongers – they are killing us – bad economy at home – rattle the sabre abroad again, having to borrow from CHINA to save our economy – America has fallen far and needs drastic change.

I hope the reps can see this – or that Paul doesn’t fall foul of the republican machine.

Before Obama started to make a move in the polls Hillary still thought she was campaigning against George Bush.
Every word out of her mouth was George Bush this, George Bush that.
Someone must of told her it was 2008 not 1992.

How long before she appears on American Idol?

Also She has been out on the trail now for 3 1/2 years, why is she still being paid as a Senator? She’s never there.

I am so tired of hearing how emotional Hillary can be. It is interesting how she turns it on and off, and only uses it when she wants to play the ” poor feminist, picked on game”. She is so artifical, I cannot understand why more people do not see that. We should always remember, her experience in the White House was trying to play the loving wife to Bill, the impeached, womanizer who was having sex in the white house, while she was upstairs. Do we really want the Clintons (both) back in the white house.

Hillay could not sell her self as the real Hillary, people were not buying it. She had to change her image, it worked in N H, people voted with their heart and not their head. If you want to know the real Clintons, read the books Hillary’s secret police operations and caught in the crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Read the true story of crime and coruption, and about the people whose lifes have been threated, and the people have been killed. If you want to know the real Hillary what you see is what you get, no matter how hard she tries to change and act. Who ever you vote for, make a good choice, don,t vote for a crime boss.

Hillary said she found her voice, I am glad Bill said it was ok for to talk.
