Obama & Clinton sit down…

Two senior Democratic sources tell Fox that Clinton and Obama met at California Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s home in Washington, D.C this evening.

Feinstein is among Clinton’s most loyal and ardent supporters in the Senate and the locale bespeaks a joint effort by Clinton and Obama to deal with a unifying figure, Feinstein, and approach the matter with sensitivity to women voters and the all-powerful state of California, vital to Obama’s hopes for victory as John McCain still harbors hopes of competing in California.

As for details of the meeting, the campaigns released the following joint statement, “Senator Clinton and Senator Obama met tonight and had a productive discussion about the important work that needs to be done to succeed in November.”

Obama is dealing from a position of weakness by meeting Clinton in her plantation-style mansion.

CNN WAS TALKING ABOUT THE MEETING IN CLINTON’S WASHINGTON HOME, FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES, AFTER YOUR REPORT.. LOL

I LOVED IT, FOX YOU CAN’T IMAGINE HOW MANY NEW TV VIEWERS YOU HAVE WON BECAUSE OF YOUR FAIR AND BALANCED NEWS REPORTING (MOST OF THE TIME!)

What a dumb headline. Finally? Sheesh, less than 48 hours? The Dems will have their team ready well before old man McSame figures out which way to turn.

I hope their discussions were productive. Ms Clinton has recently adjusted her tone and messages in a positive fashion, but they need to be very careful. Yes, there may be some HRC supporters who are on the line, but so are a whole new generation of voters and a broad swath of moderate Republicans. Obama, first of all, and the Democratic party as well, cannot afford to alienate these groups. This is a delicate balance. This process should not be rushed.

NO to Obama.

The DNC gave the nomination to Obama.

Now the people will give the white house to McCain.

Obama should have Michelle with him in this meeting with these two women who are going to have an impact on both her and her husband’s life. Obama should not be meeting these two women alone without another woman and a witness to any promises made to him by either of them. This is where Michelle Obama could be most useful by preventing any undermining of her husband and his goals.

I have a problem with all of the fox news reports. The biggest problem is that you at Fox are so much on the side of John McCain that you will agree with everything he says. I know you are GOP supporters however you are reporters first an foremost. You just don’t want to give Obama a chance to prove his self. Both Daddy and son Bush has not done anything for the African America in the 16 years they have been in office. Nor will John McCain. If you can prove me wrong I will greatly appreciate it. Until then report the news not assume what you report is news. Because, you need to hear what is going on in your world including what is going on in your country. USA is not like any other country in the world however, you at FOX NEWS just don’t get it when it comes to Obama.

Thank You For Your Time,

DO YOU WANT THESE PEOPLE IN OUR WHITE HOUSE BECUASE THAT’S WHERE THEY WILL BE IF YOU VOTE FOR OBAMA.

HIS RELATIONSHIPS WITH THESE PEOPLE SHOW HIS VERY BAD JUDGEMENT.

SAY NO TO OBAMA

Obama and Clinton getting together to talk without interference from the media or others is a good thing. They alone are the only ones who can reunite the Democratic Party. They would make a fomidable team. What scares me is the tone which I heard the journalists taking when they realized Obama wasn’t on the plane. They sounded like lobbyists to whom they feel that Obama owes them. Why does he owe the media anything? Because they pay for their own airfare? Because they have built him up in the eyes of the public? He is not obligated to drag the medis with him at all times and the argument by the press that they are entitled sound like a vailed threat that Obama will no longer be the media darling. The media talks about the egos of some politicians when maybe they should be examining their own.

This is a very special moment in our nations time. This is a time to memorialize those who found it in their hearts and their souls to fight the fights of equal rights, unjustice, and liberty. to make their voices heard in the streets, churches, neighborhoods and communities. Risking their lives, shedding unecessary blood. Humilition, degradation. Men and Women from all walks of life taking up Humanitarisim/Equality/Freedom as a means and way of good life. We have made it from a mighty long road, and look what we have before us. Thank you Mrs. Ferraro for your window left open for others to climb. The Woman has finally blossomed , and the African American male has made the moutain top. This is poetic, if I could paint it. Thank you if you can hear my soul those of you that have passed on from this world. And for those who are still here commited to the building of an era of real and true accomplishments from this long and heavy burden from times past. Please stay at the heart of the matter. Good luck to Mr. Obama/Mrs. Clinton and congratulations. Thank God for President Clinton. He that is without sin cast the first stone. Unite under your beliefs celebrate your blessings. Sincerly

It’s sad that some Americans can forgive Bush for the company he kept throughout his presidency, and condemn Obama for people he has distanced his self from. It’s sad because when Falwell made his commits it was “freedom of speech” and “to the views of George Bush”.

From now on people, when ever you want to refer to McCain, please make sure you use ‘John W. Bush McCain.’

Ex: We cannot support John W. Bush McCain because he is advocating the failed policies of Dick Cheney.

Ex: John W. Bush McCain refuses to support a recent G.I. bill in congress, citing “it gives too much benefits to our veterans.”

Ex: America cannot entrust a currently unstable U.S. economy to John W. Bush McCain who is on record saying, he does not understand the economy.

Please, spread the word about John W. Bush McCain.

America cannot afford John W. Bush McCain–not in treasure and definitely not in blood.

The way I see it, there are some of Clinton’s supporters that voted against Obama. He’ll get a majority of the voters that were struggling between the two. But the ones that voted against him have there reasons and they are entitled to them. In the larger scheme of things, Americans will have a stark decision. Continue in the present or move forward into the future.
It’s clear that if you are satisfied with the way things are going or you are one of those who voted against Obama, McCain is your guy. November will tell the tale. I’m anxious to see how it plays out. As for me, I may vote for myself.

In this situation when Mr. Obama must decide ” to have or not to have ” Sen.Clinton on his ticket,
whatever he choose would be for the worst.
To have her -he’d look weaker than she – with her formidable personality and intelligence.
Not to have – means to loose most of her 18M supporters.

I doubt very much that he will win at the end.

Hill got it right, the dems must unite. Not a chance, wait till the democratic convention reveals the real split in the party. Whoever Obama chooses as his running mate he will loose the Presidential Election because Hill wants to run again in 2012

Comment by Karen

I know a lot of Hillary Clinton supporters that feel she was “cheated” out of the democratic nomination. She was treated unfairly during the entire campaign and pushed out of the race when she was clearly a much stronger candidate to beat the republicans in the fall. She won the important battleground states by a two to one margin over Obama, but was denied those landslide victories by the press calling the victories “too little too late.” I guess the late landslide victories didn’t really matter when she was going to be “cheated” out of all the votes that had been cast for her in Florida and Michigan. Some of her votes were even “given” to Obama, who was savy enough to remove his name from the ballot because he knew that Hillary would win those states. He made a great “political” move, which many are hoping comes back to haunt him in November. Even Hillary’s campaign exit was rushed and manipulated by her previous “supporters”, if you could call them that. I do not remember a candidate ever being “rushed” out of a campaign the way that Senator Clinton has been. The “Obama” supporters in the democratic party criticized her for not leaving soon enough. I don’t feel as though Senator Obama and his campaign received the nomination “honestly.” There was far too much manipulation of the press and the public in favor of a very inexperienced candidate. Hillary and former President Clinton were called “racist” after doing more to help the African American community than any president before him. How soon people forget about the tremendous support that has been given to them. As a Hillary supporter, I am planning to vote for John McCain as well as many of my friends. The Democratic party have manipulated the system too many times in favor of the party’s choice as the nominee, not the “American people’s choice”. With John McCain’s many years of experience and the democratic voters feeling so disenfranchised, John McCain will be our next president.

Comment by Ken

Who cares what they talked about. The democrats are killing our country. Obama is a teleprompter speaker and has ZERO experience. HRC is just plian annoying. The democrats won the House a few years ago and look at the garbage they have caused. How can everything be President Bush’s fault when the democrats run the house? Say NO to Democrats this fall. McCain is the man with the experience we need to lead this great nation.

Comment by Uguette

If Hillary Clinton is not on the ticket, I will vote Mc Cain. She was not treated well.

Comment by informed

I totally disagree with the comment here about McCain being another George Bush. Have you forgotten that McCain has always voted on principle vs. party lines and he has the record of at least attempting bipartisanship to prove it? Or perhaps you are not informed and should do some homework before adding to a big problem this country faces – that is, uniformed people voting for the most important office IN THE WORLD. This is not even the most important job in the US – the American president has more power and authority than anybody else in the world. Now, ask yourself, which of these two candidates has shown courage in the face of extreme personal trials? Who has served his country? Who has served the public for practically a lifetime? Who has looked beyond race in his own personal experience (btw McCain adopted a daugther from Bangladesh; Obama was part of a church who the majority of members in the congregation cheered on anti-white, anti-semitic rhetoric – not exactly a track record of looking beyond race even if he himself claims he is not anti-white/semitic). Who understands foreign affairs – through experience, not theory? Who is up front and honest? Who is married to a woman who is actually proud to be an American? Who is in this race for the public vs. personal ego? I could go on forever. Ask any one of these questions and the choice is clear. McCain clearly has the character, the judgement, the experience, the record of, and desire for, bipartisanship and the right motives for being President. Some may like Obama for a charismatic speech – but PLEASE for the good of us all – ask yourself some of these real questions, and you will quickly realize the right choice. We’ve all heard the saying, show me the friends and I’ll show you the man – well, that’s interesting in this scenario isn’t it? How we choose to spend our time, the choices we make, the people we know, the person we marry, the way we educate our kids and the church we go to- it all matters -because it DEFINES WHO WE ARE. If you yourself would not listen to hate speech, why would you want a president who is cool with that? If you don’t have expereince, don’t you want someone to lead you who does? If you have never been in war, and the country is – again, wouldn’t you choose the knowledgable one to lead you? It baffles me.

Comment by DebF.

This election would have been the first time I voted in my life. Since my daughter went to Iraq, I researched everything I could in politics. As the time grew nearer for me to make a decision, on who best would lead this country, I further researched. I am from upstate NY and I myself, have had enough of the Clintons. That was a vote with a definate no. But, the way she was treated, was terrible. I may not like the woman, but she was treated poorly. I started listening to Obama. Sounded good, but then rev Wright and the rest of the associations that Obama has, I felt that was a hinderance to him and the fact that his experience is way to little for me. His wife`s comments, really did it for myself. I felt that this was a conversation between Michelle and Obama, that ran into her speeches for her husband. I listened to Obama`s speech when he was given the nomination. He wasn`t speaking to America as a whole, he was speaking to the black community only. This election was going to be historical!!! A woman, a black man, and me voting for the first time in my life. I have been disgusted by the whole process. I now ask myself, if my vote will really count. Look what happened with the half votes. I thought it was Americans and their votes, full votes, that counted in this country. I will be voting for McCain. I`ll take experience over inexperience, and the bs that follows the inexperience.

Obama as President? You people who live in a pie i the sky need to wake up, there is no way an inexperienced man with one term as a lame senator is going to be elected President of the United States!

Obama is so under qualified to be a Senator, much less the commander in chief of the greatest military in the world. Obama is the most liberal senator in recent history…….

What has this man ever done????? NOTHING but talk a good game. No results in the Senate, NADA, Nothing, Obama is lame. He is good at reading good speaches, He can not articulate his own message on the fly, because he has no message, except what the left wing idiots tell him to say!

I do not care for Hillary, but she has more to offer than a lame, unproductive wanna be Senator from Chicago!

I will have to vote for a republican, and I have not done that since Ronald!

JM has shown he can cross the isle and work out legislation that is beneficial to all americans……..

Comment by Maggieb

Very interesting!!!
CAN OBAMA BE PRESIDENT?
It seems that Barack Obama is not qualified to be president after all for the following reason:
Barack Obama is not legally a U.S. natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between “December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986? Presidential office requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. citizen parents, which of course is what exempts John McCain though he was born in the Panama Canal US Law very clearly stipulates: “.If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.” Barack Obama’s father was not a U.S. citizen and Obama’s mother was only 18 when Obama was born, which means though she had been a U.S. citizen for 10 years, (or citizen perhaps because of Hawaii being a territory) the mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years **prior to** Barack Obama’s birth, but *after* age 16. It doesn’t matter *after* . In essence, she was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S. citizenship. At most, there were only 2 years elapsed since his mother turned 16 at the time of Barack Obama’s birth when she was 18 in Hawaii. His mother would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of Barack Obama’s birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen. As aforementioned, she was a young college student at the time and was not. Barack Obama was already 3 years old at that time his mother would have needed to have waited to have him as the only U.S. Citizen parent. Obama instead should have been naturalized, but even then, that would still disqualify him from holding the office.
*** Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. *** Though Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii at age 10, all the other info does not matter because his mother is the one who needed to have been a U.S. citizen for 10 years prior to his birth on August 4, 1961, with 5 of those years being after age 16. Further, Obama may have had to have remained in the country for some time to protect any citizenship he would have had, rather than living in Indonesia. Now you can see why Obama’s aides stopped his speech about how we technically have more than 50 states, because it would have led to this discovery. This is very clear cut and a blaring violation of U.S. election law. I think the Gov. of California would be very interested in knowing this if Obama were elected President without being a natural-born U.S. citizen, and it would set precedence. Stay tuned to your TV sets because I suspect some of this information will be leaking through over the next several days.

MAJOR GARRETT:

I respect and have loved your reporting. BUT, you are bias. Your reporting has turned into support for Obama and this isn’t pleasant to listen to when we are only looking for updates.

I watched your video on the night of Obama’s supposed “historical win of the nomination”. Give me a break! Do some study on super delegates and what they were created to accomplish. The headline needs to read nation wide; “Black man steals the nomination with support of DNC”.

Why on earth should Hillary have jumped up to endorse Obama? Just because some party sucking super delegates put him over the delegate line improperly? This is what I think you are missing; it is the popular vote of the people that elect a presidential nominee and many other factors that determine a candidate’s strength for a general election.

I am now a democrat voting for McCain like millions of other voters who while angry, believe Obama to be a risk for this country. You are discrediting yourself to be so obviously bias for Obama.

To the folks that refer to Mccain as Bush or Bush Mccain; are you paying attention to what is really goinng on. Mccain is not close to the Bush core beliefs or policies. I believe you have to be reiterating the rhetoric that is being stated by the left wing advocates. Mccain has nothing in common with Bush. He does believe that we cannot leave Iraq on a whim, as he should. If we leave Iraq immediately, can you even imagine the repercussions? We are there now, we have to see it through whether we like it or not (and I don’t like it). Think toward the future, what it really means; not the garbage you are hearing from the left or right wing. When you hear something on the tv, radio, news, double check the facts. If you are doing that, you will find that Mccain has nothing in common with Bush. For the record, I voted for Bush – I will not vote for Mccain. I will also not vote for Obama.

Looking at the numbers, I see simply the necessity of our two minority candidates joining forces. We need to do everything possible to not allow for another republican regime of terror. Americans, we NEED to ensure that Mc Cain CANNOT win. I should hope that by running Obama for pres and Clinton for VP. We need to unite our minorities and overthrow the white male regime that has run us amok. Women and African Americans I beg of you, unite. We have both been discriminated against and have had to fight for our rights. We are both the same and we as two minority groups are exactly what the United States were founded upon. Freedom of liberty and Relief from oppression. Please, let’s show this world what we are made of and truly be a united state of americans, not blacks and whites or women and men let’s all work together for the global reparation of our defaced name.
