Clinton Camp Meets Secretly in Denver: “Vote Your Conscience”

KANSAS CITY, MO. — 1 a.m. EDT

Traveling with Barack Obama but aware of goings-on in Denver.

Have received word that top Clinton strategists, gathered by Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager Maggie Williams, met privately late Monday in Denver to plot convention strategy. The main topic: what to do about Wednesday’s roll call vote.

At the meeting Williams, The Bourbon Room was told, emphasized Clinton’s message earlier in the day that she hopes her delegates will support Obama.

At the meeting were Clinton’s top field organizers from the campaign as well as some of the Clinton’s most ardent supporters in state delegations. These supporters are, in many cases, convention delegates. More importantly, they serve as leaders within their state delegations and could hold the key to whether rank-and-file delegates support Obama or not.

During the question-and-answer session, a person who attended the meeting informs The Bourbon Room, Williams said delegates still loyal to Clinton, even after her appeals to support Obama, should “vote their conscience.”

A Clinton ally who was not at the meeting but who spoke to Williams directly said the context was the delegates should vote their conscience if they felt they had no other choice. Meaning, if Clinton’s appeals weren’t enough, they must follow their deeply held beliefs. Williams explained after the meeting that it would have been insulting to tell delegates anything else. Williams said her “vote your conscience” line should not be interpreted as an act of sabotage against Obama, but merely a recognition that some Clinton supporters will do what they feel they must.

This is not the interpretation of the person who attended the meeting and heard Williams. The witness to the meeting left with the perception that Williams gave delegates permission to vote for Clinton and against Obama.

Such is the stuff of the internal Clinton discussions about what to do with and about their hyper-loyal delegates. Even those on the same team (Clinton’s) can’t agree on what the phrase “vote your conscience” means literally or figuratively. This makes it difficult to discern team Clinton’s true wishes, intentions and directives. This has been a beguiling and befuddling reality for Obama advisers for some time.

But even Clinton forces who want to play nice lament the fact that Obama’s team waited so long to sort out things like the roll call vote. The delay has forced a story about process, hurt feelings and imagery of discord into the convention’s opening day.

To patch things up, Clinton and Obama aides hit the convention floor tonight to obtain signatures to formally place Clinton’s name in nomination for Wednesday’s roll call vote. This was a defensive move, designed to overwhelm a rump group of grumpy pro-Clinton delegates who had already obtained the 300 signatures necessary to call for the vote.

With a roll call a procedural certainty, the Obama and Clinton camps swiftly arranged to hit the floor to gain even more signatures than the rump group had.

The two camps are still trying to negotiate an abbreviated roll call that will allow for the counting of an as-yet unknown number of Clinton delegates before the convention nominates Obama by acclamation.

Clinton’s speech is still being written.

And though many pundits and commentators are likely to say Clinton must use Tuesday night’s speech to persuade her delegates - and the vast audience of Clinton loyalists watching at home — to back Obama, top Clinton officials have had enough of this kind of pre-speech pressure .

The emerging consensus in Hillary’s camp is that Clinton can not be asked to solve Obama’s problem. They say it’s up to Obama to make the case for his economic policies and respond to persistent questions about his experience, toughness and vision.

According to Clinton allies, no speech from Clinton or anyone else can do for Obama what he most needs to do for himself.

The Clinton supporters who choose to hold to their principles continue to miss the big picture goal of this election. We must not allow the Republican party to continue to ruin this Country. Maybe Clinton would have been the better President, maybe she didn’t get a fair shake from the media. And sometimes life isn’t fair. But now we must look beyond the school play yard at the big picture - the next four years. And really beyond that. There will be Supreme Court Justices replaced during the next four years. There will be the rights of women reduced further if Republican politics continue to run Washington. Do the Clinton supporters really want to be responsible for the ‘longer than four years damage’ that will occur if a Democrat is not President? Even if he doesn’t do the best job - or do it the way ‘they’ like, or the way Hillary would have done it, Obama did win the primary election. Continuing to divide the Democratic Party will damage us far beyond the next four years. Help elect Obama. Then go ahead the next four years and say “I told you so” when he doesn’t do things the way Clinton supporters like. But they know at the corp of what Clinton wanted to accomplish are the same goals and values Obama wants. When it comes down to it … better Obama than McCain. Isn’t that what we all need to remember?

Clinton didn’t win in part because her campaign was disorganized, with too much infighting and a lack of imposed discipline. Now it looks like she’s carrying over the same (lack of) leadership style into the convention.
By the way, Major, the word you want is acclamation, not acclimation. The latter means getting used to the climate.

This is exactly what you would expect from sore losers.I really cant see what even allowing a “roll Call ” vote will do in either case , piss Clintons supporters off even more knowing it’s just a pacifier, or to make the entire convention about Obama appeasing these party crashers.
Shame on all of you for pushing this debate way too far, and shame on the DNC for allowing it to become a part of this convention. The Convention is supposed to be about the Kickoff of the actual RACE TO THE WHITE HOUSE, not the long over, and way drawn out nomination fight.
I truly hope people at the convention, even the supporters of Clintons, realize they are a part of the change we need in this country, and it is their responsibility to help relate that to the America that is watching with every fiber of their being , to see change and feel hope, not watch a bunch of Politico Idealists cause a fight on the convention floor.

Hillary Clinton and her supporters just can’t seem to ‘get over it’. What an embittered, entitled group. “Vote your conscience” is Hillary’s thinly -veiled way of saying “cast your votes for me- you know you want to, and I want you to.” Otherwise she would say “unite and support our nominee” as most decent candidates who sincerely want their party’s nominee to win an election. Hard to believe but her ego is bigger than her sizeable hips. How self-serving! Watch for her convention speech full of faint praise for Obama and milking her status as woman who would be Madam President. She’ll bask in the spotlight with her bitter old female supporters crying their eyes out for her. If ever there was a need for a giant hook to get her finally, FINALLY off the stage! Unlike other contenders for president at past conventions, the Clinton camp just doesn’t know how to concede graciously and get behind the party nominee. Theirs is a half-hearted effort through gritted teeth and insincere, lukewarm calls for unity. Sadly, this is a year for a transition of the Democratic old guard. Edwards is finished, the Clintons just don’t know how to leave with some grace and class, Ted Kennedy is a dying lion. We need to elevate the party beyond the old guard. I pray the McCain presidency won’t be Bush act III. Thanks to the Democrats divisive and negative (thanks to Hillary) primary, I don’t think they can survive the fatal wounds in order to rally behind Obama. It’s a pity- we deserve a president who rises above the nasty Karl Rove election tactics. Just wait, “my friends”, McCain will unload some real negative campaign ads and claim it’s just “humorous, good fun”. Red necks everywhere will look for any way out of voting for a black man and legions of old white women who couldn’t get over the fact that most of us didn’t support Hillary, will feel vindicated that the man who won the nomination over their beloved martyr, Hillary, did not become president.

Maggie Williams “vote your conscience” remark, underscores what I have suspected all along -that Hillary Clinton does not, in her deepest recesses, want Sen. Obama to win! Otherwise, why would a low calibre campaign staffer, who is not among the sharpest in the business, feel it was her place to instruct Clinton delegates to “vote your conscience”?

As for Hillary Clinton supporters: I hope you people give Sen. Obama your votes at the convention, and especially, during the Nov. general election. Anything less, would be rather foolish, because, you would have geopardized your interests.

To all Hillary supporters, who are still hell-bent on Hillary, inspite of the outcome of the Primary: is it not really, foolish, that you people, like sheep, seem not to recognize that your lives could and should go on with or without Hillary Clinton? Sen. Obama and Biden can meet your needs for improved quality of life, perhaps, better than Hillary ever could.

Crying over spilt milk is not going to get you anywhere, voting for McCain is worse, and seating at home would be your worse option. You are not stupid, so, I expect you would, like a good Democrat (not Joe Lieberman Democrat), vote for the Democratic ticket.

If there is a possibility for Clinton to steal the nomination at the convention, believe me, she is doing everything in her power to see that it is done. If in the end she see it is impossible, then she will back Obama fully.

I will not believe Bill and the Hildabeast are not going to try and steal this until the convention is over.

There is no way Obama can change my mind at this point. The rampant cheating in caucus states did it for me. He only won one primary and that was his own state. Without those crooked caucuses he would not be the nominee at all. To even be having a debate about whether or not her name should go into nomination or have a full roll call on the floor is insulting to her supporters and everyone who voted for her.

This is not about Senator Clinton anymore, this is about a crooked process and a selection not an election. It is so much bigger than Senator Clinton and at this point there is nothing even she can do or say to win us over to Obama. The same man who sat silent for rampant sexism in the media during HER historic race and the only reason he said nothing was because it worked to his advantage. I hear this over and over among PUMA members. To ask some of us to vote for Obama is the same thing as asking a person of color to suddenly vote for someone they think used racism to win. You’d not even dream of asking that of them but, because these are mostly “women” it’s fully expected we will once again follow that yellow dog whistle calling us home.

Not this time. This man is not vetted and those of us who might have voted for him at the beginning of this process now see exactly what the DNC had in mind all along. There is even now rumors of a secret vote being cast from the delegates hotels instead of on the floor for “security concerns” of the Obama camp. There is a documentary being made about the caucus fraud. People in the media keep missing the entire point of why there is so much anger. It’s not “hurt feelings” such a phrase diminishes what we are outraged about here.

Senator Obama did not win the popular vote, there was rampant cheating at the caucuses that was indeed reported during this proces and we all saw it while nothing was done, they crowned him in Washington at the “rulz” committee meeting wherein they broke there own rules and gave away Clinton’s delegates to a candidate who did not earn them. When you have caucuses that only represent five percent of voters deciding the nominee and you have to cheat to even win that much you are going to earn for yourself some people who expect justice to be done here. Especially when the historic nature of her race has been so disrespected and diminshed.

We will remember in November and beyond, all the way down the ticket.

Barack is doing a great job making the case for his economic policies and responding to questions about his experience, toughness and vision, but you need to shut up and listen and listen and listen.

John McCain has PTSD, evidenced by the fact that it is all he thinks about, it consumes him and he can’t get past it. I dont want to degrade is sacrafice but I dont want a shell shocked president.

Hey Norma! I’m voting for John “Wayne” “Lucas” McCain, too. You must live out west like I do. I sure liked Chuck Connors as “Lucas McCain” in the “Rifleman.” Anyways, they should make a movie on John McCain. Better yet, as President we can watch McCain on TV make more history everyday as we witness his America Presidential Story unfold. This is a greater story than what Obama’s would be which would be that of serving out Jimmy Carters second term. Show one thing that would be different. Same rhetoric, same bull. That’s the “change” Obama promises only worse because Obama and everybody else should have learned from it but they still want to go back there. “Some “change!”
Barack, come back after you get some more experience in about 12 or 16 years after McCain and Hillary Clinton finish their Presidential terms. You know you wouldn’t be where you are if the Democrats knew you like they know you now before “Super Tuesday.” “Bad break, “Hillary,” considering everything, you got ripped off, “Big Tiiiiiime.”

Why the Coming Elections are Very Important?

Over the next decade, the US Federal deficit will accumulate up to $6 trillion. It is amazing that in one decade we witnessed the largest surplus and largest deficit in the history of the country. Continued large deficit will crowd our private investment and force us to continue borrowing heavy sums from abroad. It would increase the amount to be dedicated to interest payments and further weaken the future ability to borrow.

The Fed will start paying off old investors with funds borrowed from new ones at high interests. We will have limited funds for investment into capital projects such as roadways, bridges and airports infrastructure or education of our kids. As a result, the Fed will heavily dip into American wallets with higher taxes to an extent that consumption will heavily be reduced. The current administration’s fiscal policies have not only imposed a large tax burden on the future generations but have also curtailed their standard of living.

In democratic societies, changes come through changes in leadership and policies. This is why the upcoming November 2008 Elections are very important for the country’s youths as well as adults who are concerned about them. It is about choosing leaders who embrace or inspire greatness among us and discarding those who are not only divisive but also favor of pettiness.

Regardless one’s political affiliation, the coming elections is about vision, optimism, national security, fiscal responsibility collaborations and not the usual divisive politics.

What’s wrong with the media and Americans? Obama and his wife can’t hide behind the bus carrying Obama’s associations for the past twenty years or more.

Where is Reverend Wright? Where’s Jessie Jackson? Where is Sharpton?

Did all of us ignore the fact that Obama mentored with an anti American, radical, racist: Reverend Wright.

What about William Ayers, Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam supporters?

This is an introduction to a President?

Could you just imagine if McCain was friends and mentored with the KKK?

Wake up America.

Where is the reporting?

Obama’s past associations is an introduction and a clear picture of Obama’s character.

Please, for the sake of our country, stop hiding all of Obama’s past.

I don’t want to have lunch with Obama or Michelle.
Neither one is not like me. They’re both scary.

Obama hopes the Americans are sleeping.
So does Michelle.

All of a sudden, Michelle loves this country now that Obama stole the primaries.

Obama is a disgrace. He’s embarrassing.
What is wrong with the media.
What are they afraid of.
Examine and report on Obama. The media should for all presidential candidates.

Obama’s HOPE message is that he can pull this off
He keeps changing his mind……..that’s his CHANGE message.

Rezko the criminal.
Ayers the domestic terrorist.
Reverend Wright the racist.

Obama for President?

Wake up Democrats! Wake up America!

Run from any presidential candidate with Obama’s connections.

Comment by Al from NJ

The reason many Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama is because they are embarrassed of him, his life, his unfair tactics and his beliefs. And they still don’t know all about him.

1. They don’t want a candidate that has been in a twenty year relationship with Reverend Wright and the Trinity United Church of Christ.

2. They don’t’ want a candidate that has a twenty year relationship with Father Pflaeger and refers to him as his compass in life

3. They don’t want a candidate that went to a church that supports Louis Farrakhan, an anti Semitic racist, that has led a rally of 20,000 Nation of Islam members to support Obama in Chicago

4. They don’t want to defend Black Liberation theology.

5. They don’t want a candidate that lies about his relationship with Tony Rezko, the Syrian Criminal that sold his property to Obama and supported his campaign.

6. They don’t want a candidate that could work with a domestic terrorist, William Ayers.

7. They don’t want a candidate that Hamas supports.

8. They don’t want a candidate that Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam support

9. They don’t want a candidate that has a wife that has just now realized she was proud of our country.

10. They don’t want a candidate that denies Florida and Michigan their voices

11. They don’t want a candidate that mentions 57 states in his speeches. 50 states in the USA and 57 states in the Nation of Islam (IOC website)

12. They don’t want a candidate that fights unfair and hyjacks Michigan delegate votes from his opponent.

13. They don’t want a candidate that is inexperienced, especially dealing with military issues.

14. They don’t want a candidate that considers it a loss to not to be able to attend his anti American, racist Church.

15. They don’t want a candidate that has a “non practicing” Muslim father, but avoids the entire discussion of his father.

16. They don’t’ want a candidate that won’t debate

17. They don’t’ want a candidate that misleads the youth with an ‘Obama girl and her behind in their face”

18. They don’t want a candidate that says he’s an African American and missed the MLK Remembrance Day and the Louisiana Black Caucus meeting

19. They don’t want a candidate that enjoys laughing at sexism.

20. They don’t want a candidate that switches his position on gun control, FISA, the war in Iraq and abortion issues.

21. They don’t want a candidate that showcases his daughters on TV shows.

22. They don’t’ want a candidate that has poor judgment..

23. They don’t’ want a candidate named; Barack Hussein Obama

24. He is embarrassing.

25. He scares them to death.

It’s all about the Clintons. The Clinton Campaign wants Obama to prove to them he’s worthy of their votes and support, while undermining him through actions and words like this — and at the same time, calling for him to pay off the campaign debts, that Hillary created through bad fiscal judgment.

“Me, me, me, me, me.”

“This makes it difficult to discern team Clinton’s true wishes, intentions and directives.” Your quote sounds like classic Clinton tactics to me. Muddy the water so Hil’s footprints won’t be quite so glaring. It’s worked in the past so many times, why not now? The whole situation makes for a most interesting convention! This is almost, but not quite, better entertainment than the Olympics.

I feel the Obama campaign is trying to rewrite the past by undermining what both Senator Hillary Clinton and President Bill Clinton have done for the party and for themselves. He will lose the presidency because he lacks a vital character trait needed for all presidents……charm. He lacks the ability to disagree with an opponent and still appear like a statesman. His child like tantrums over the press whenever they disagree is astounding. How many times has he put down foxnews correspondent Sean Hannity in the past few weeks. All that does is make him appear small and inept. A president has to be able to face the remarks with concern not empathy. I am a lifelong democrat and will not vote for Barack Obama. Quite frankly, (yes I am and was a HRC supporter) I find the shoving of the senator down my throat politically speaking stiffling. Furthermore, I feel he’s fractured the party by alienating two of the most beloved Democrats of our time. People still remember the prosperity and peace they lived in under the Clinton administration. To slander and undermine that is the very reason he is dead even in the polls during an election deemed a cake walk for Democrats. Well, I find it so amusing that in June the Obama campaign were filled people saying that HRC supporters were delusional and yet now their candidate can’t be elected without us. Well good luck, on election day I will be writing in Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s name in on the ballot.

I am in Denver now and have it on good authority that Hillary will be victorious after the first roll call and any others after it. There are so many delegates that have switched from Obama to Clinton. They are very upset with the DNC as a whole. They realize that the fix was in and are tired of being threatened by Dean and Pelosi. They will do this on national TV so there can be no misunderstandings of the Clintons pushing this.
The delegates are doing it all on their own and have had many private meetings between them.
They are the ones that want the democrats to win the white house with the only candidate, Hillary, that can pull it off. They know that Obama will lose in a landslide to McCain.
Make sure you watch it all on Wednesday… it will be history in the making.

FYI,

Clinton recieved just as many votes from voters as Obama and deserves the right to have her name on the floor. The DNC pushed superdelegates to back Obama so once again they have the nominee who they want regardless of what voters say.

Talk about a man controlled by his wife Michelle is acting more like she is running than Obama is. First she said she would not have Hillary on ticket and during the VP decision she was there and made sure he picked who he wants. She also is the one who told Obama to quit smoking to run for president. Obama said in the forum how he would listen to Michelle for guidance and direction what worries me is her comments on America and Obama comments are so close to Wright that it is scary and how the news does not call them on the lies! Here are some examples:

1: Ayers- Obama knew him and was/is friends with him at late as 2007 ..Listen to what Bill Ayers, who hosted Barack Obama’s first fundraiser for campaign.

At the same event, Obama’s friend and supporter Bernadine Dohrn described the United States as “the monster.” Obama was 47 years old at the time

_________________________________________-

2: Wright- Obama has claimed he wasn’t there during all the anti American and Israel ranting but records show Obama ordered CDs when he was able to attend the church. Also he later admitted how he heard “some” negative comments.
________________________________________________________

3: Obama said he voted against the war- not true he was not even in senate to vote!
______________________________________________-
4: Obama claims he didn’t vote against the infant protection bill- Another lie he not only voted against it he shelved it in ILL.

But Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”

The bill was then referred to the senate’s Health and Human Services Committee, which Obama chaired after the Illinois Senate went Democratic in 2003. As chairman, he never called the bill up for a vote.

Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse who was the prime mover behind the legislation after she witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to expire, testified twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act bills. She also testified before the U.S. Congress in support of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Stanek told me her testimony “did not faze” Obama.
___________________________________________

5: Obama says he would think about drilling in America- Another lie he has no intention of allowing it and after Nancy Poloski made it clear to Obama she would stop the bill he changed his mind ( sort of).
______________________________________________________

Also, as many all over the anti-idiotarian and military blogs have noted numerous times, if this were John McCain being long-time friends with a terrorist who used to blow up abortion clinics and kill abortion doctors and was not repentant at all, it would immediately end John McCain’s political career (and rightfully so). The utter hypocrisy and sick double-standard is ridiculous with the Left and the Democratic Party as a whole.

Some of these delegates are bound by state law to cast their votes for the candidate they pledged too. I assure you our organization will be watching and those that do not we will contact the AG of their state to have them prosecuted. They represent the voters that sent them.
I understand their may not be a full roll call vote. Fine I have filed a complaint in Texas abou the fraud with Secretary of State. Also filed a complaint asking for review of the Democratic party operating elections within the state and asking us as citizens to spend millions of dollars to hold primaries and not even be allowed to participate in the roll call at the Democratic convention. We don’t have to support their shenanigans.

Many Americans are filing the same complaints within their prospective states.

Al, maybe you can answer this one….there was a form that BO filled out asking if he ever used another name besides Barak Hussein Obama his answer was no. There is a document that the name Barry Soetoro was entered on a form. Is there anything we can trust about this guy? where is Clintons spine? She went this far, why not go all of the way? Obama has not tried to be helpful to her. The 3 o’clock e-mail was definately a slap in the face. With 1/2 of all of the Dem voters voting for her. She should have been on the ticket. I am a Republican, and I feel the unjustice done to her. Our political process has gone down hill rapidly. We the people do not pick our party leaders anymore. They are picked by the media and the political party. Our leaders do not vote the way we the people want them to vote, they vote with the party, the lobbyist, and their own self interest. The people that do not follow politics are probaby the most fortunate. I follow closely and all it does is make me sick.

Comment by Harold Stalter

Obama continues to speak of “change” but never seems to state specifically what he would like to change, “from” what “to” what. When the news media representatives have the opportunity to question Obama they never seem willing to ask the question or request specifics. I could never vote for him based on a plan to “change” if I didn’t know the specifics.

Does he believe that we are in such bad condition that our government needs a complete overhaul? How can the USA be the last remaining superpower and a so called “freedom beacon to the world” and be in a condition to need drastic change?

Do you think that we will get the specifics of his change proposals before we go to the voting booth? The biggest change I think we need is to get presidential candidates to tell the citizens the specifics of what they intend to do and if elected they do what they said they were going to do or explain why they can’t.

There are many Clinton supporters that feel as Hillary does, it is up to Obama to swing these voters around. But that is not likely to happen, Obama has done nothing but snub these voters. John McCain becomes more appealing each day as Obama choose the high road feeling he doesn’t need Hillary’s supporters.
As the Democratic Party tries to put the fear in Hillary supporter by saying they should never vote for McCain, McCain is looking better each day as a candidate with true leadership experience. The DNC has made some grieves errors during this campaign and it will not be forgotten by many voters.
Just look at the polls, Obama has not gained any ground. I guess the “bitter enders” are not falling in line behind Obama.

By the blogs here I can tell that the Obama cult is in rare form. But what can anyone expect from them. It doesn’t matter how Obama got the nomination, it doesn’t matter if there was cheating, it doesn’t matter if there were underhanded tactics or if the news media played favoritism. All that matters is that all the Democrats vote for his majesty even if you don’t believe he has this county’s best interest at heart or even if you think he is not ready to be president. It is winning at all cost and so what the consequences. Nothing else matters but to win. Obama supporters don’t care who this man is, or what the outcome may be if he wins the Presidency. They are like the Germens in World War II. Promise me the world and I don’t care who has to pay in order for me to get what I feel that I deserve. I am a Democrat and a union representative and I can not support this man. The old saying “if something is too good to be true it probably is” is something people better think about. This man has some real issues that just by saying “oh that’s not what he meant” or let me explain myself” does not resolve. People who do not support Obama are not supporting him for reasons that the Obama supporters just can’t except and that is your problem not ours.

You (Democrats) have lost my vote. I lost my vote of confidence here in Michigan by voting for Hillary. The abuse of her has been, in my opinion, less than human. Obama will not get my vote. Sorry.

You are right…. it is not Hillary’s responsibility to UNITE this party… the GREAT UNITER MUST DO IT FOR HIMSELF…

But after I have been called: Republican Troll, Dead Ender, Bitter Ender, Hillary Nigger, Hillaridy Nigger, Republican Shill, Sell Out, Uncle Tom, Racist, etc. Get real.

If people gave up and stopped fighting for what they believe in at the first sign of trouble or something did not immediately go their way, or it didn’t just get handed to them because of hard work, we would still be sitting at the back of the bus with nothing but 40 acres and a mule.

After Obama’s treatment of Hillary, he now has the nerve to expect Hillary’s supporters to save the election for him. Let the best man win and I hope it’s McCain who has experience to be President of our nation.

Sounds like somebody has watched too much Hannity’s America. Only in Hannity’s America is there so much hate. Only in Hannity’s America is Geroge Bush given a blind eye to all the failed policies, Bush has inflicted upon our country.

Earlier, when McCain won the Republican nomination, he was wise to distance himself from from Bush and Hannity’s America. Now as we go to the convention, McCain has caved to the pressure from the conservatives and looks more and more like a 3rd term Bush candidate.

This is INDEED SCARY!!!!!

i don’t see why hillary is supporting obama. if it is for party unity…too bad. we already broke away from it. we will indeed vote with our conscience. mcain for president. what did obama do for this country to deserve the highest office in our country. both he and his wife benefitted from this great country and yet spent 20 years of their lives in the company and love of people who hate what this country had stood for, and now they are saying this is not enough?! what to they exactly mean by that? fellow americans do not be deceived! they keep mouthing off change. change for what? he said he is a citizen of the world. he will have no qualms weakening this country of ours to benefit the rest of the world. just look at his cohorts. no! U.S.A. first! mccain suffered for this country and as a soldier who experienced the evils of war first hand, he has the wisdom to spare this country bloodshed and at the same time will have the guts to defend this country against its enemy. his own son is in iraq. obama is all talk. what has he done for this country? he was a community organizer who built a network of shady characters to benefit himself and groom him to be the leader of this country. that’s all. hillary is wrong. obama will despise her more once he is the pres. that’s how arrogant he is. sorry hillary. i will let you down this time. i’ll vote for mccain.

i really hope that the hillary supporters come out and stifle those obama nuts. we need the democratic party to be divided and off message. we can’t afford to let a n!gger be president. We have one choice and that is McCain. can’t trust our government to a racist bigot like obama, his wife, and their nappy-headed children.

I am not voting for Obama because of him. His associates for the past years are too radical, he is inexperience, he’s arrogant, and he flip-flops. He talks about caring, but hasn’t help his half brother who lives in a hut with $1 monthly income. This same guy is going to look after us?

I hope when Wednesday night comes and the roll call begins, that ALL states are allowed to speak for their state. When it is over, may Hillary Clinton be the obvious choice for nomination as the Democratic party’s nominee. Hillary has shone grace, tenacity, intelligence and patience through this long and drawn out process. She should have been nominee from the word go. Barack Obama should be giving an acceptance speech as her vice presidential running mate.

I hate to switch parties, but have already purchased the McCain biographies so that I can get to know this man better. I will not vote for anyone in the Democratic party but Hillary Clinton. Obama be damned!

Are you joking? Why are all of your “Bourbon Room” topics so negative? Are you naturally a negative person or did you simply miss all of the positive messages given by all of the speakers last night? Do you have anything positive to say? Are you convinced the world is an evil place where we should all live in fear of conspiracy?
